Abbey Caskets works with shippers to ensure the casket or urn you order arrives on time and in excellent condition.

Standard Shipping:

Shipping caskets throughout Indiana and surrounding states (KY, IL, OH, TN, MO, MI) are delivered within 1-2 business days by Abbey Caskets or common carrier. Standard shipping and handling are included in the price of the casket or urn.

Nationwide casket delivery by common carrier is available. Delivery may take up to 5 business days or more depending on location. Delivery outside of Indiana and surrounding states are subject to a premium charge.

Standard delivery for cremation urns can be delivered within 3-4 business days.

Expedited Shipping:

Expedited, weekend and holiday delivery, coast to coast, is handled by expedited drivers. Expedited shipping is not included in your prepay option. These costs are calculated for you at the time of need. 

Urns can be shipped overnight via FedEx or USPS if needed.

Custom Projects:

Shipping for Abbey Woodworking custom projects is an additional charge and will be collected at the time of delivery. Contact us for an estimated shipping cost for your custom project.


Where to ship:

We will ship the casket or urn directly to you or to the funeral home of your choice. Please provide us the name, address and phone number of the delivery address, and we will make the arrangements. If you prefer to have the funeral home contact us to make delivery arrangements, please do so. You can give the funeral home our toll-free number, (800) 987-7380.

Working with your funeral home:

In 1994, the Federal Trade Commission ruled that funeral homes may not charge a surcharge or handling fee to those who wish to supply their own casket or urn to be used in funeral arrangements. Thus, funeral homes are accustomed to such arrangements. However, proper notification is required, as is consideration of the various requirements the funeral home may have.


Refund and Return Policy:

If you purchase an Abbey Caskets product that is damaged or defective, please contact us within 30 days for an exchange or refund. Damaged caskets are typically replaced within one day.

Prepay contracts, as stated in the contract, are irrevocable.
